PUBLIC relations and marketing agency Project PR has welcomed a new senior account executive to the team.Helen Sharkey joins the firm, based at Holbrook, near Ipswich, from Port of Felixstowe, where she was corporate affairs officer for Hutchison Ports (UK) Ltd.

PUBLIC relations and marketing agency Project PR has welcomed a new senior account executive to the team.

Helen Sharkey joins the firm, based at Holbrook, near Ipswich, from Port of Felixstowe, where she was corporate affairs officer for Hutchison Ports (UK) Ltd.

She will be responsible for the day-to-day management of client work, including local and national media liaison and will work closely with clients to ensure maximum PR benefit is achieved.

The firm's managing director Penny Arbuthnot said: “Helen has excellent writing skills and a broad range of PR experience which she gained in her role at Port of Felixstowe. She will be an asset to our team and we are delighted to welcome her on board at Project PR.”

Ms Sharkey grew up in County Durham and moved to Suffolk after completing a history degree at Lancaster University. She is a member of Felixstowe Ferry Sailing Club and is a Newcastle United season ticket holder. She is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
