A COLCHESTER charity chief has become one of the first people in the country to gain a new management qualification.
Helen Yates, who was recently appointed chief executive of the Colchester-based Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre, scored one of the highest marks to achieve her Endorsed Institute of Leadership and Management 3/5 qualification.
The qualification is aimed at helping leaders of small and medium-sized businesses to take their businesses to new levels.
“The MSRC may be a charity but it has to run as a business if we are to succeed in our goals. I found the programme very challenging but also very rewarding and I am sure the MSRC will benefit as a result,” said Ms Yates.
