Witham Industrial Watch Ltd has published its proposal to turn the town's industrial area into a Business Improvement District. The document identifies target areas where improved security, signage, management and parking could bring benefits to the estates by making them safer, cleaner and more attractive to employees, businesses and prospective investors.

The document identifies target areas where improved security, signage, management and parking could bring benefits to the estates by making them safer, cleaner and more attractive to employees, businesses and prospective investors.
Subject to a substantial “yes” vote in a ballot, to be conducted by Electoral Reform Services, the improvements will be funded by a levy to collected for the BID company by Braintree council.
Voting papers will be issued at the end of June with voting taking place during July and the result being announced in early August.
