A new event, the Property, Home and Investment Show, is to be staged at Trinity Park, Ipswich, in May.

The show, on Wednesday, May 6, will be a satellite event running alongside the Anglia Business Exhibition, the established regional business-to-business event which regularly attracts more than 1,500 visitors and will this year feature around 200 exhibitors.

The satellite show, featuring property, home and investment opportunities, will take place in the main Trinity Park Conference Centre and the Trinity Rooms complex, with the Anglia Business Exhibition this year being housed in the President’s Marquee nearby. All visitors will be able to visit both events free of charge.

Kim Brown and Sonia Shelcott, who are responsible for co-ordinating the Anglia Business Exhibition, will be managing the event and describe it as “A unique new sales and business generation event.”

With 40 exhibitors expected and seminars on various related topics scheduled, the event will enable visitors to identify the expertise and advice needed to make the right decisions on their specific area of investment interest, including pensions which are the subject of major reforms taking effect from next month.

Sponsors for the event include Harringtons Property Investments, Shawbrook Bank, Commercial Financial Services and JNF Capital.

Mark Chester of from Harringtons Property Investments, who was instrumental in championing the launch of the new event, said: “In these difficult times of potentially low returns from traditional savings and investments, you could consider investing in property.

“However many people who would like to invest in property feel they do not have sufficient funds or enough knowledge to know where to start.

“We established Harrington’s Properties in 2014 set up by four experienced property investors who saw an opportunity to offer a range of short term, high yield investments to the smaller investor who would like to use private funds, equity release or a pension. Together we have over 75 years of experience in refurbishment, conversion, new build and rental of residential and small commercial properties.

“This event will enable us to talk directly to potential investors and provide them with up to date investment opportunities.”

Karen Bennett, sales and marketing director at Shawbrook Bank, said: “We are delighted to be able to support the Property, Home & Investment Show for 2015. Whilst our specialist products are distributed via a network of professional broker partners we always value any opportunity to meet investors, landlords and property professionals first hand to gain a deeper understanding of how we can service this market more effectively.

“Shawbrook will be exhibiting alongside one of our experienced broker partners, Commercial Financial Services, so prospective clients will have the opportunity to speak with both bank and broker about a finance package that suits their needs.”

Simon Purdom, who established Commercial Financial Services (CFS) in 2004 after several decades in banking, added: “As a brokerage we have expanded rapidly due to word of mouth recommendations from clients and can arrange lending for clients using a large number of providers; with property we regularly work with refurbishment and new build transactions in addition to assisting experienced property professionals in the management of their portfolio debt and expansion needs.

“Whilst we have clients based throughout the UK we do focus on our home region of East Anglia as well as Eastern England including London. With our heavy property focus it was a natural choice to sponsor, in conjunction with one of our lending panel Shawbrook Bank who specialise in property financial solutions, the Property Homes and Investment Show. We look forward to meeting both existing and new clients at the show and helping you achieve your business aspirations.”

JNF Capital, an advisory stock broker specialising in trading with Contracts for Difference, has also pledged its support to the event. Spencer Gilbert, a chartered wealth manager, said: “Our head office is located in the heart of the City of London and we have a recently opened a second trading floor on the Essex/Suffolk Border.

“We are getting more and more enquiries from the property investment world so we feel it fitting to sponsor the Property, Home and Investment Show. The property investors we are currently working with find the liquidity of the financial markets a huge advantage compared with other asset classes

“Investments can be bought and sold with the click of a button. If we have a buoyant property market in the UK and prices are rising, clients can simply invest into the house-building sector with low associated costs. We will be at the show to explain the world of trading the financial markets in the modern day.”
