A Suffolk-based based business loans company has been shortlisted for a national award.

Fleximize has been nominated for the Young Company of the Year award at the 19th annual Amazon Growing Business Awards which takes place at The Brewery in London on November 29.

The Ipswich company, which was launched in 2014 and now employs a team of more than 40, recently raised an additional £16.3m funding from Hadrian’s Wall Secured Investments, allowing it to further develop its lending platform.

Peter Tuvey, co-founder and managing director of Fleximize, said: “2017 has been a really exciting year for Fleximize and we can’t wait to see what 2018 brings. To be nominated for an Amazon Growing Business Award is testament to the hard work of our whole team.”

Previous winners at the Amazon Growing Business Awards include Go Ape, Innocent Drinks, Betfair, Lovefilm and Fever-Tree.

For this year’s Young Company of the Year award, Fleximize is up against AM Bid Services, ClickMechanic, Climb Online, Corinium Global Intelligence, Home Made and The Goat Agency.

“The depth and breadth of this year’s shortlist proves why the UK is a great place to set up and run a business,” said Doug Gurr, UK country manager at Amazon.

“With a record number of applicants, there was a high level of competition in every category and I’d like to congratulate Fleximize and all of the businesses shortlisted and wish them all the best of luck on the awards night.”
