Ipswich: Basepoint business centre to expand after reaching capacity

THE Basepoint Ipswich business centre has overcome the economic gloom with its office space reaching100% capacity – and is now planning to expand.

The centre, on Ransomes Europark, will be converting 5,600 sq ft of space on the top floor of its building, creating 10 new offices – five individual offices ideal for start-up businesses and five larger offices which will provide existing licensees with the option to expand.

Three of Basepoint’s existing licensees have already signed up to move into the larger offices and two have been reserved by new companies. The new office units will be ready from April 2, 2012, along with three workshops that are still available at the centre.

Michelle Wootton, centre manager at Basepoint Ipswich, said: “At Basepoint our aim is to continue improving our facilities so that they meet the requirements of our licensees.

“Whilst we are keen to attract new businesses to the centre, we are also devoted to helping our existing companies grow and expand which is why the new offices are crucial. We’re delighted to see that some of our licensees are expanding – a true testament considering the challenging times we’re in.”

Basepoint, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the ACT Foundation, a leading grant-making charity dedicated to improving the quality of life of those in need, provides a wide range of high quality, managed office and workshop space in purpose-built premises and on flexible terms.
