BARCLAYS branches at Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds have announced they will be breaking with tradition and opening on Bank Holidays except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
The move, which begins with a Good Friday opening from 10am to 2pm, is part of a programme to extend opening hours and meet customer demand. It is part of a national roll-out across 112 UK branches.
Ann Moody, Branch Manager, Barclays Ipswich said: “In response to customers evolving needs, customers now have more choice about when they want to visit the branch.
“We are delighted to offer our customers the opportunity to see us at the branch outside the traditional banking times.”
