TWO of Suffolk’s leading conference venues are teaming up to showcase the county’s potential to events organisations at a major exhibition.

The Apex in Bury St Edmunds and Trinity Park in Ipswich are joining forces under the banner of “Venue Suffolk” to position Suffolk as a prime choice for conference organisers at the International Confex 2012 event, takin gplace at ExCEL London from March 6 to 8.

The two very distinct venues will outline the full range of services they can offer, in anticipation of increased visitor activity during the year of the London Olympic Games and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Julie Warren, development manager at The Apex, said: “This is the first time we’ve exhibited at International Confex and we hope that by coming together with Trinity Park we’re able to open visitors’ eyes to two very modern, flexible and cost effective alternatives to London-based venues.”

Christine Bond, commercial manager of Trinity Park Events, added: “This is a great way to showcase the high quality conference facilities which Suffolk has to offer, all within 90 minutes travelling distance of London.”

The Apex is located in the centre of Bury St Edmunds while Trinity Park Events is the commercial arm of the Suffolk Agricultural Association, with its conference and events centre standing within the 300-acre home of the Suffolk Show.
