Ipswich: Ensors backs Eastern Angles Christmas show
ROBERT Hatch, senior partner at East Anglia-based chartered accountants Ensors, joined members of the Eastern Angles in going “Round the Twist” to mark the firm’s continued sponsorship of the theatre company’s annual Christmas Show.
This year’s show, named Round the Twist, has a Dickensian theme and tells the story of aspiring actor and playwright Oliver Nicklefield who has written a new play for an eccentric travelling theatre troupe, known as The Crumbles.
Other characters in the musical comedy spoof include sneery Obadiah Snoop, delectable Dorabella, feisty Foggoty and the mysteriously hirsute Miss Haversack.
“Ensors are very pleased to, once again, be supporting the Eastern Angles Christmas Show” said Robert Hatch.
“The cast and crew at Eastern Angles have excelled themselves in producing a sell-out show, and we are very proud to be a part of it.”
Ivan Cutting, artistic director at Eastern Angles, added “What we love about Ensors is the way they enter into the festive spirit and really enjoy getting involved with the company. The feedback about the show from Ensors’ audience members is always fantastic and, as we all know, if the comic wig fits Robert Hatch will be guaranteed to wear it!”
Round the Twist runs until Saturday, January 7 at the Sir John Mills Theatre in Gatacre Road, Ipswich, before moving to the Seckford Theatre at Woodbridge School until January 21. Eastern Angles is then taking the whole production over to The Cresset Theatre in Peterborough for a final week.
