SUFFOLK-based technology firm ITO World, part of the EADT’s Suffolk Future50 listing of up-and-coming businesses with high growth potential, has moved into new town centre offices in Ipswich.
The company was formed in 2006 to provide web-based data services for transport professionals and its clients have included the Department for Transport, National Rail Enquiries and Google.
Now, with many new orders being achieved from local councils for its automated bus timetable software ITO Go, as well as additional business with national and international clients, the company is gearing up for growth.
Having previously been operating from the Ipswich home of co-founder Peter Miller, ITO has taken over the top floor office suite at 25 Lower Brook Street, providing space for the current team of seven – already about to increase with the appointment of a number of interns from UCS – to expand to up to 20.
Mr Miller said: “We have every reason to be optimistic about future growth and we are delighted to confirm our long-term commitment to the town, where we hope to create more jobs and encourage others from within the sector to see East Anglia as a breeding ground for innovative technology SMEs.”
