GUESTS gathered on the roof top for an official “topping out” ceremony at a new care home in Ipswich.
Building work by the Ipswich-based division of regional construction group R G Carter on behalf of First Care Homes started in January of this year on the Park View Care Home, off the town’s London Road.
The completion date for the building should be March 2012 with the first residents arriving at the state-of-the-art new home in the spring.
First Care Homes is being established by the Jeffery family, who created the award-winning Caring Homes Group which now runs more than 120 services across the UK.
In total, there will be 61 rooms providing nursing, residential and dementia care.
