THE Ipswich office of accountancy firm PKF has agreed to sponsor double gold Commonwealth medallist and Great British Olympic hopeful, archer Nicky Hunt.
Nicky who is 26 and lives in Kesgrave is in intensive training to become one of three women to represent the British Archery team in the London Olympics 2012.
Peter Harrup, a PKF partner based in Ipswich, said: “It is great to be involved with such a talented, local, young sportswoman and we are giving all the support we can. We wish her every success in her endeavours to make the British team for this global event in London next year.”
Nicky, who took up archery at the age of just 11 and was competing internationally by the age of 12, has been nominated to be an Olympic torchbearer in Suffolk on July 5, 2012. “This will be a fabulous start to the games for everyone in East Anglia,” she said.
