Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond will address local business leaders later this month as guest speaker at an Ipswich Suffolk Business Club event.

The club’s membership is made up of Suffolk business owners, leaders and key decision makers from a broad spectrum of industry sectors who share the common goal of promoting business growth, inward investment and new employment in the county.

Club chairman Clive Underdown said: “We are delighted the Chancellor will visit Suffolk and we eagerly anticipate hearing his thoughts on Brexit and the UK economy, as well as investment and growth opportunities for Suffolk.”

The lunchtime event, at The Hangar at Kesgrave Hall, near Ipswich, on Thursday, November 30, is being jointly sponsored by accountancy and insurance brokers firm Scrutton Bland and law firm Gotelee Solicitors.

It is open only to members of the club (membership of which is limited to 100 and by invitation only) and their guests. For details, email secretary@isbclub.org.uk.

The club’s annual programme of events is supported by Milsoms at Kesgrave Hall, the regular venture for its events, pubs and brewing group Greene King and public relations consultancy Genesis PR.
