Basepoint Ipswich, the managed workspace centre on the town’s Ransomes Europark, has received an accolade for“Exceptional Corporate Volunteering” at the Out And About Trust Awards.
Out And About, a charity which helps disabled children and young people to access every day leisure activities across the East of England, has been supported by the Ipswich centre for the past two and a half years.
All of the money raised have been match-funded by Basepoint’s parent company, The ACT Foundation, a UK grant making charity dedicated to improving the quality of life of those in need.
The Ipswich centre is one of 28 Basepoint facilities across the south of England and the Midlands.
Centre manager, Michelle Wootton, who attended the event, commented: “I am thrilled to accept this award on behalf of Basepoint Ipswich. In the two and half years we have been supporting Out and About, our events have been challenging and fun and it is so rewarding to meet some of the young people who benefit from the money we have raised for them.”
