WADDINGTON Brown, the specialist East Anglian recruitment consultancy for the Human Resources (HR) profession, marked its fifth anniversary by hosting a celebratory event at Jimmy’s Farm, Wherstead, near Ipswich.

The event saw guests enjoy an evening of celebration, good food, sausage making and drinks, with clients and suppliers travelling from Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex to attend.

Since launching five years ago, the Ipswich-based firm has experienced year-on-year growth, and has seen a number of milestones including the placement of over 200 HR professionals into roles across the East Anglian region, in addition to the opening of a branch office in Norwich.

The company was also a finalist in the 2012 Anglian Business Awards for the Small Business of the Year category.

Emma Gunton, co-founder and director, Waddington Brown said: “The recruitment industry is very much driven by the current economy, and so we have worked hard to adapt and grow our business since launching five years ago.

“I’m pleased to say that we’re going from strength-to-strength and have built up a strong reputation in the region for delivering personalised, recruitment consultancy to HR professionals. We are focused on continuing to expand the business and the event was held to thank our clients and suppliers who have supported us during our first five years of operating. It’s been great fun and here’s to many more!”

Waddington Brown focuses on recruiting HR professionals at middle, senior management and director level for businesses of all sizes – from large corporates through to smaller businesses which may be embarking on their first HR appointment.
