Michelle Pollard, managing director of Spider, who is vice chair of Ipswich Chamber of Commerce, board member of Suffolk Business Women, vice chair of Suffolk Skills Show and Inward Investment Ambassador for Suffolk, was named in the start-up category.

Forward Ladies chief Griselda Togobo unveiled the names of 103 entrepreneurial female business leaders in the London and the South shortlist competing in 12 categories. They will be invited to attend the regional final in London in September, and the winners from this will then be invited to appear before a live judging panel in November for a national final in Leeds in December.

“I’m thrilled, and so proud to be considered for this significant award focusing on women in business on a national stage,” said Ms Pollard.

“Start Up businesses are integral to the economy and I see so many wonderful businesses doing great things, to be considered one of them is phenomenal”
