A SUFFOLK pub chef has made it to the finals of a prestigious culinary competition.
James Angus Rogers of The Dog Inn, Woodbridge, was one of three finalists who competed in the Global Cuisine and Pub Classic cook-off categories in the PubChef Food Excellence Awards.
For the Global Cuisine section, he cooked up a dish of Tandoori baked Grundisburgh Rabbit, and for his Pub Classic, he made pan-seared venison liver with creamy mash.
No pre-prepared ingredients were allowed and contestants had one hour 15 minutes.
The award winners will be announced at the PubChef Food Excellence Awards at the Dorchester Hotel in London in February.
