ESSEX housing association Colne Housing Society has appointed James Scott as its first Resident Involvement Officer to encourage residents to have their say in how their communities are run.
He will be meeting with Colne's residents across north Essex, and listen to their views to help the society to enhance its range of services to more than 2,000 affordable homes.
Mr Scott, a former resources assistant at the society, said encouraging more of their residents to have their say was a crucial part of his new role.
“I feel it is important that their voices are heard and that they feed back their comments to the society,” he said.
