The owner of a Woodbridge jewellery shop has created a 1,800 pendant to help raise funds for The Suffolk Foundation, a charity which awards community grants.

Gemmologist Susannah Chenevix, of Chenevix Jewellery, in Market Hill, will be raffling the jewel at Suffolk Dog Day at Helmingham Hall tomorrow at 4pm. Raffle tickets, costing 5, can be brought at the shop.

“It made perfect sense for us to get behind sponsoring the Best in Show final event which has been appropriately titled ‘The Jewel in the Crown’,” she said.

“I was immediately inspired to create something that would accurately represent the Diamond Jubilee theme and so we have created the Jewel in the Crown Pendant, which is now on show in our shop window.”
