A LUXURY airline flying out of Stansted Airport says it has been “inundated” with bookings for its new Las Vegas route, which launches next week .

Maxjet Airways, an all-business class transatlantic airline is set to begin a new non-stop scheduled service to the US's gambling capital on Thursday when the inaugural flight leaves Stansted.

The twice weekly service leaves the Essex airport at 1pm, and touches down at Las Vegas McCarran International Airport at 5pm the same day. The return flight takes off at 7.30pm and arrives at 12.30pm the following day.

“We have been inundated with bookings for this route since sales began on September 1,” said Maxjet chief executive Gary Rogliano. “The UK is the second largest market to visit Las Vegas and we are responding to customer demand for an affordable, non-stop business class service from London. The addition of this new route also means that connections to and from the US west coast are now much easier.”
