The Lavenham Forum, which brings together shops, restaurants and other businesses in the town to help drive growth in the local economy, has welcomed its 60th member.

The latest firm to join is the Lavenham Blue Vintage Tea Rooms, newly-launched in the Market Place by Amanda Mortimer.

“I have lived in Lavenham for 12 years so when I opened the tea room, I knew the forum could help me,” she said.

“I had no hesitation in signing up as I want to work closely with all businesses in the village.

“I wanted to support Lavenham Forum as I know they will support me, so it works both ways.”

Regis Crepy, owner of The Great House restaurant in Lavenham and chairman of the forum, said that the organisation was helping to boost business in the town, both from tourists visiting the town and from residents in and around west Suffolk.

“We are delighted to welcome Amanda and Lavenham Blue to the forum,” he said said. “We are a dynamic organisation, designed to promote all businesses in the village by bringing them all together for the good of Lavenham.”
