VISIT Suffolk is hosting the third in a series of free networking roadshow events around the county at Lavenham next month.

The event, at The Swan on Thursday, September 6, from 5pm to 7pm, aims to give tourism businesses an opportunity to share news and best practice, learn about new developments and plans in Suffolk tourism and meet Visit East Anglia’s Suffolk board members.

The event is free of charge but is strictly for tourism businesses based in Suffolk and booking is essential as places are limited. To book, email amanda@visiteastanglia.net .

A local guide will also deliver a talk about the history of Lavenham, including some ghostly tales, and the evening will also include some local food and drink.

Amanda Bond, brand manager for Suffolk, said: “This event is an opportunity for local tourism businesses to network and find out plans and opportunities to promote each other and work together throughout 2012 and beyond.

“Our roadshow of events allows these representatives to collectively come together to promote Suffolk and ensure visitors to the county experience the best of what the county has to offer”.
