EAST Anglian law firm Birketts LLP has agreed a deal to become a business patron of DanceEast.
Staff from Birketts and their families will be able to experience life at DanceEast’s Jerwood DanceHouse in Ipswich at close hand, with opportunities to attend performances and take part in its regular class programme.
Alistair Lang, chief executive at Birketts, which has offices in Ipswich, Norwich, Cambridge and Chelmsford, said: “Our partnership with DanceEast not only makes a contribution to the richness of Ipswich as a place to live and to do business, but also helps support the huge range of activities under the banner of dance, allowing us to promote this range to our own staff”.
Maggie Powell, development manager for DanceEast, added: “Corporate support is not just about handouts. As Birketts have proved, there are many imaginative ways in which partnership with DanceEast can be mutually beneficial.
“This agreement will make a valuable contribution to the work that we do in the community, with the DanceEast Academy and with professional artists.”
