Harrod Horticultural, based in Pinbush Road on the South Lowestoft Industrial Estate, received a royal seal of approval during the Edible Garden Show at London’s Alexandra Palace.

The company’s stand was visited by Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall who spoke to managing director Stephanie Harrod about the company’s products.

Among the items which caught Princes Charles’s eye were a Harrod superior decorative steel walk-in fruit and vegetable cage, the RHS award-winning slot and lock plant support range, and the new Harrod superior greenhouse.

Stephanie Harrod said: “It was an honour and a privilege to meet Prince Charles and The Duchess of Cornwall and to be able to talk to them about the heritage of our Lowestoft-based family company, show them the quality of our products and talk about organic gardening which we are both truly passionate about.”
