LYNNE Finnigan has become a new business adviser at Business Link where she will be helping small to medium tourism and leisure businesses across Norfolk, Suffolk and North Cambridgeshire to develop and grow.

She brings a wealth of specialist knowledge to the team in her new role as specialist adviser in tourism and leisure, with almost a decade's experience in the sector, combined with a background in sales and marketing and event planning and management.

“Because the tourism and leisure industry is such a huge part of our economy, it can also seem very complex, but I can help people understand the hierarchy of organisations involved - who does what and where - as well as things like the grading schemes for accommodation and attractions,” she said.

Before joining Business Link, Ms Finnigan launched and developed a leading corporate conference centre in Bromley, Kent, and delivered major conferences throughout the UK.

As project manager for The Brecks Tourism Partnership in a previous role, she was instrumental in putting The Brecks on the map as a leading visitor destination in the East of England.

“Over the years, I have built up an impressive network of local, regional and national contacts, covering useful, informed and influential people in the sector,” she said.

“I am here to offer support and solutions to empower businesses to be successful.”

Allan Barrows, business adviser manager at Business Link said he was delighted she had joined the team.
