A PRINT manager will be taking part in a gruelling 250-mile charity bike ride which will take him across the Egyptian desert.

Keith Everitt, operations manager at Ancient House Press in Ipswich, hopes to raise as much as he can for the British Heart Foundation when he takes part in the River Nile Bike Ride later this year.

“Everyone in our party of 30 doing this bike ride needs to raise a minimum of £2,800 to participate,” he said.

“I am really grateful to Ancient House Press for giving such a generous donation but am appealing to other local companies, and individuals, to sponsor me and help raise the largest amount possible.”

Keith's route will take him from Esna to Luxor, mainly on roads but occasionally on dust tracks. He will spend one day crossing the desert from Edfu to Aswan.

The longest distance the riders will cover in a day is 77 miles, with most days starting at 7am.
