Video marketing is becoming more central to entrepreneurs, but its still ‘what’ you say that’s as important as ‘how’ you say it, according to the organisers of a new interactive video marketing workshop in Bury Saint Edmunds.

Suffolk business owners are invited to book onto the half-day workshop being run by Penny Morgan Photography and Marley Bird Communications, to learn the skills and confidence needed to get in front of the cameras.

Delegates will be taken through a series of practical exercises to help them understand how they can best represent their business with clear and concise messaging. They will also learn the art of effective body language and understand how small changes to their presentation style will enable them to engage with their audience effectively.

This is the second video presentation skills they’ve workshop run, explained Marley Bird Communications’ managing director Aisleen Bird. “During our last workshop it was clear that, in addition to needing help with the ‘visual’ aspects of getting in front of the camera, many delegates were also unsure of what they should actually ‘say’ on a business video. We’ve therefore included an extended session focusing on the best way to communicate the benefits of your business offering and how to create messages that will truly resonate with chosen audiences.”

Ms Morgan added: “We know that for some people, talking in front of camera can be incredibly daunting so we’ve devised our workshop to help teach people the skills they need to appear confidently on camera. We’ll look at how they can use their voice, and what their body language is really saying – by the end of the session, delegates will leave feeling much more confident about creating video content for their business.”

The video presentation skills workshop takes place on August 8 at Nowton Court from 9am to 1pm, costing £55 plus VAT.
