A specialist glazing firm is set to provide high performance windows, doors and a curtain wall for a major student residential scheme in London.
Builder Brookfield Multiplex has appointed Mildenhall-based English Architectural Glazing to carry out the work at Cartwright Gardens in the Bloomsbury Conservation Area, which will provide 1,200 rooms for students living in hall at the University of London.
The new building will be made from an in-situ concrete frame and brick-faced concrete cladding panels to all external sides. The scheme includes the refurbishment of existing private gardens and four tennis courts.
Pre-construction director Edward Whipp said: “We have a strong history of university projects and are pleased to be part of this halls redevelopment providing enhanced student accommodation for the University of London. This will be our third collaboration with Brookfield Multiplex this year.”
