Further acclaim tops off award-winning year for East Anglia law firm

Following a flurry of national awards, regional law firm Birketts has again ranked highly in the Legal 500, with several individuals and practice areas recognised.
The legal directory ranks Birketts as one of the strongest law firms in the region, with the breadth of its property and corporate deals continuing to impress, as well as the diversity of its litigation and private client advisory work.
It lists Birketts as a top-tier firm in 34 practice areas, and the firm has been recommended in a further 14 practice areas. Furthermore, 48 lawyers are listed as elite leading individuals, 16 lawyers are highlighted as next generation lawyers, and 35 lawyers are regarded as rising stars.
A total of 142 lawyers are mentioned by name in Legal 500 UK commentary for their standout contribution to respective practices.
The firm was proud to receive further recognition by recently being shortlisted for three prestigious national industry awards: Law Firm of the Year: The Independents (The Lawyer Awards 2021), Independent Law Firm of the Year (British Legal Awards 2021) and Legal Team of the Year at The EG Awards 2021. This coming on the back of The Times: Best Law Firms 2021 commending Birketts for its commercial dispute resolution, commercial property, employment, inheritance and succession legal expertise.

Recruitment continues at pace, and the law firm now has over 800 staff (including 93 partners) across its five offices in Cambridge, Chelmsford, Ipswich, London and Norwich.
