Staff at Stowmarket malt firm Muntons have raised £346 for mental health charity Suffolk Mind.
The company paid for Christmas lunch, brunch and rolls for shift workers and asked them instead to donate to the charity, which undertook training sessions at the firm as part of a mental health awareness campaign.
Human resources adviser Mary Narey said: “The feedback we received from our staff following the Suffolk Mind mental health awareness sessions was exceptionally positive. The idea of raising money for Suffolk Mind was therefore an easy one to make, particularly in this innovative way.”
The charity’s Laura Bullard said: “We are extremely grateful for this generous donation. This money will go towards helping us to achieve our mission of making Suffolk the best place in the world for talking about and taking care of mental health.”
