A new Mitsubishi dealership is coming to Ipswich - to the former Marshalls Jaguar site in West End Road.
The motor dealership site, alongside the River Orwell, was vacated when Marshalls Jaguar moved to new premises at Futura Park in east Ipswich.
The EMG Motor Group is a major vehicle business in East Anglia, for new and used cars with 10 dealerships, and four franchises at various locations for Kia, Mitsubishi, Nissan and Mazda.
A spokesman for EMG said they were busy preparing the Ipswich site for its new purpose and planning to open to the public from August 1.
EMG is also a major employer in the region with sites at Boston, Duxford, Haverhill, Ipswich, King’s Lynn, Spalding, Thetford, Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge and Ely.
It has a Mitsubishi dealership currently at Duxford.
The former Marshalls, Ipswich site in West End Road has been sold by Savills.
Mitsubishi is the sixth biggest Japanese car maker.
