A luxury yacht maker based at Ipswich is set to launch its latest model at the Southampton Boat Show in September.

Spirit Yachts is preparing to unveil its new DH63 yacht, which makes its debut as the firm celebrates 25 years in business.

The firm which specialises in highly-crafted wooden vessels made to a high specification, and has designed its latest model for cruising and racing in the UK and the Caribbean.

Managing director Nigel Stuart said: “We worked closely with the owner to fulfil his brief of iconic Spirit style married with practicality for liveaboard cruising as well as occasional racing.”

The vessel is air-conditioned throughout, and includes natural teak flooring and white eggshell timber with a mahogany trim, a saloon with seating for six diners around a central table, a fully-kitted galley, and a suite with king-sized bed and mood lighting.
