Tristel plc says the preliminary results for its financial year, which runs until June 30, show revenues and pre-tax profit are ahead of expectations following a strong second half performance.

The company is celebrating second half sales of £7.04million – a rise of nine per cent on the same period last year.

Its pre-close trading update also revealed its full year revenues are £13.48m – up 28% on the previous year – and its full year pre-tax profit is £1.8m before share-based payments.

The firm makes infection prevention, contamination control and hygiene products at its Snailwell base for the human healthcare, animal healthcare and contamination control markets under its Tristel, Anistel and Crystel brands.

The firm’s chief executive, Paul Swinney, believes the good performance will continue.

“The company ended its financial year in good shape,” he said. “The improved performance achieved over the past 12 months relates to all areas of the group and is expected to continue into the new financial year and beyond.”
