AN ARABLE and grassland farm on the Suffolk-Essex border, which holds organic status and includes a five-bedroom main farmhouse, has gone on the market with a guide price of 3.25million.

Bakers Hall Farm at Bures, which totals around 238 acres, also includes extensive farm buildings including grain and machinery storage and covered yards for the farm’s herd of South Devon cattle.

Bakers Hall, the main house, has been fully renovated and refurbished by the current owners and a traditional barn nearby has been converted into a two-bedroom cart lodge annexe and a one-bedroom flat.

Giles Allen from the Ipswich office of Strutt & Parker, which is handling the sale, said the farm was expected to appeal both to the local farmer market and to non-agricultural investors.
