Stanaway Farm at Otley is hosting a free technical event for farmers today from 9am to 16.30pm.
The Soil, Water and Precision Management day has been organised by the Centre for Contemporary Agriculture (CCA).
“Stanaway Farm on Wednesday will be the place to find out what science and technology have to offer in improving a farmer’s soil and water management – the real fundamentals of farming,” said organiser Dr Tony Wilson, of Easton and Otley College.
The Rural Payments Agency confirmed this week that it would like to register farmers for the Basic Payment Scheme at the Otley event – if this has not already been done. Anyone wishing to register for BPS at Wednesday’s event should bring photo ID, a recent bank statement and a recent utility bill.
