A Suffolk coffee brand which launched an “energy brew” this year said a new canning facility could be set up in Suffolk for it.
Paddy & Scott’s, based at Earl Soham, is offering its new Nitro Brew as an energy drink for players at this year’s Framlingham Lawn Tennis Tournament, which it is sponsoring. The contest, played annually since 1883 and Britain’s second oldest lawn tennis tournament, is celebrating its 125th anniversary.
The zero calorie, slow-brewed cold black coffee drink with nitrous gas has proved popular during the heatwave, the firm said. Founder Scott Russell said: “We’ve discovered a way to produce Paddy & Scott’s Nitro Cold Brew Coffee in large quantities, whilst retaining its character, allowing us to rapidly distribute across the UK with future exports on the cards,” he said. The product will initially be made under licence in London, but he is in discussion with the Local Enterprise Partnerships about creating a canning facility in Suffolk, he said.
