Haven Gateway, a partnership organisation for the Haven ports of Felixstowe, Harwich, Ipswich and Mistley, says it has already had an excellent response from local businesses after inviting them to join its stand for free at a top logistics show in February.

The Logistics Link South trade show takes place on February 7 to 8 at Sandown Park, Esher, and Haven is offering local companies in the shipping, ports, transport and logistics sector a free presence at the event and the chance to get their message across to the hundreds of logistics professionals who attend the show.

Those who have already signed up include Anglia Supply Chain Recruitment, Roger Lascelles Maps, telecoms company Skymaker, Hutchison Ports (UK), which owns the ports of Felixstowe and Harwich International, haulage company P&O Ferrymasters, which is based in Ipswich, and legal firm Gotelee and Goldsmith.

“We are delighted with the response so far,” said Haven Gateway project manager Richard Morton.

“Having a presence on the stand will give Haven Gateway companies the valuable opportunity to meet logistics professionals and budget holders who visit the show specifically to find providers of cutting-edge solutions for the supply chain.”

He encouraged any businesses still interested which have not made contact to get in touch as soon as possible.

“Previous shows have attracted around 1,700 logistics managers from major manufacturers, retailers and logistics providers, so they have a good deal to gain from attending,” he said.

While companies will be expected to provide their own marketing materials and staff, and meet their own accommodation and travel costs, the stand has been booked and paid for by the Haven Gateway.
