TECHNOLOGY manager Dr Paul John has accepted an invitation to sit on the board of a UK advisory body.Dr John, who works for hi-tech firm e2v, which has a manufacturing base at Chelmsford as well as two other sites, will sit on the UK Fusion Advisory Board, set up by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.

TECHNOLOGY manager Dr Paul John has accepted an invitation to sit on the board of a UK advisory body.

Dr John, who works for hi-tech firm e2v, which has a manufacturing base at Chelmsford as well as two other sites, will sit on the UK Fusion Advisory Board, set up by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.

E2v makes electronic tubes and sensors and semiconductors for various sectors including medical, aerospace and commercial.

The board meets several times a year to help drive forward action on science and industry outreach and includes nominated officials from various bodies including the UK Atomic Energy Authority and the Department of Trade and Industry.

Dr Paul said he was “delighted” at the appointment.
