THE Cambridge Insurance Institute (CII) has announced Paul Johnson as their new president. Mr Johnson, who lives in Bury St Edmunds and has been involved with the institute for five years, takes on the challenge of representing over 550 insurance and financial services professionals from the region.

THE Cambridge Insurance Institute (CII) has announced Paul Johnson as their new president.

Mr Johnson, who lives in Bury St Edmunds and has been involved with the institute for five years, takes on the challenge of representing over 550 insurance and financial services professionals from the region.

He wanted to take a more active role within the organisation, which offers a broad portfolio of education and qualification services to the financial services community. In his new role brings he is responsible for promoting the institute's local programme of events and encouraging his colleagues and peers to also get involved.

He works for Newmarket-based insurance broker Bluefin, where his involvement with the institute has been actively encouraged.

Branch director, Mandy Turnbull said: “We're extremely proud of Paul and know that he'll do a great job as president. We always support professional development through the CII because it is an excellent way of enriching our employees' professional lives and giving them a broader view of the industry.”
