THE East Anglian Society of Chartered Accountants (EASCA) has appointed a new president.

Paul Leech, from Manningtree, is a director in the Financial Services Practice of Deloitte and Touche LLP, which provides technical support on regulatory matters to both staff and clients.

He has many years of experience in providing help to audit and non-audit clients on the business rules of the Financial Services Authority.

He is a chairman of the investment management committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

“I aim to continue the society's good work on financial capability, especially in the region's schools and am also keen to support the institute's initiatives in this important area,” he said.

He welcomes members of the EASCA to contact him on matters relating to their institute and local society, and wants to encourage those who do not currently to so to become involved in future developments of their district society.
