The National Sheep Association’s winter fair in the Peak District last month has been hailed a success.
Visitors to the Bakewell agricultural centre braved wintry weather to attend the event on January 24.
Organiser Helen Davies said: “Despite the adverse weather conditions people turned out in force to support the event. This shows the determination of people and the interest in attending these specialist one day events.”
The fair champions and encourages young shepherds and sheep producers in the region, and a range of competitions were co-ordinated specifically for youngsters.
