Over a £1,000 was raised for national gardening charity Greenfingers after Perrywood Garden Centre and Nurseries in Tiptree, Essex held a quiz night earlier this month.
Around 120 people took part in the event hosted in the newly refurbished Perrywood Coffee Shop and the evening raised a total of £1,155.
Greenfingers is a small national charity dedicated to supporting children who use hospices around the UK by creating inspiring gardens for them to enjoy with family, friends and siblings, whether through play and fun, or therapeutic rest. To date Greenfingers has created 51 gardens in hospices around the country, and has a further waiting list of hospices that need help.
Communications manager at Perrywood, Hannah Powell said: “Greenfingers is an excellent cause, gardens and outdoor space are very important for the families using hospices. We are always happy to send money their way.”
