Portable Space grow into more space at Bacton.

A Suffolk business is announcing a number of new initiatives to meet growing business needs.

Portable Space, which provides solutions for secure storage and additional accommodation, has seen increasing demand for its products over the last 12 months and is on track to deliver 20% growth in turnover.

With landlord David Black & Son, the company has also expanded the facilities at its Bacton headquarters with the creation of a new workshop, storage and areas for preparing containers for conversion.

Supporting the business growth are two new appointments: Rob Luck as business development manager and Catherine Hodgson as hire controller. An existing member of the team, Michelle Macguire, has been promoted to senior hire controller.

A new website is planned later in the year with support from the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership.

The new additions bring the total number of people to 36.

Mark Black, managing director of Portable Space, said: “A commitment to not only meeting but surpassing customer expectations is at the heart of our culture here and these latest developments will ensure that we achieve this objective. Growing our team to meet business needs, together with improving facilities, is an important part of this mission.

“We are also working on a new website to be launched later this year, thanks to support from the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership’s Small Grant Scheme. This will enhance the online experience for our existing customers and provide the information needed for those new to portable storage and accommodation.”
