A regional housebuilder has awarded grants of £1,000 to two organisations supporting young people in Suffolk.
Hadleigh’s The Porch Project and Woolpit Primary Academy will each receive the funding through the Persimmon Homes Suffolk match-funding Community Champions scheme.
Simon Wood, director in charge of Persimmon Homes Suffolk, said: “Young people are the lifeblood of our rural communities, and we feel it is important to support those doing vital work with local children and teenagers.”
“Both of these organisations embody the spirit of our Community Champions scheme, working to improve the quality of life or environment for local people.”
The Porch Project provides safe and educational activities for youngsters in Hadleigh, Great Cornard and surrounding parishes. Woolpit Primary Academy aim to improve and upgrade its library facilities.
