ESSEX law firm Wollastons has announced two senior appointments.

Richard Cooke has been recruited as a partner to join the Wollastons construction team and brings a wealth of experience to the firm. Until three years ago, Mr Cooke was a construction partner at a leading London law firm and then spent three years with a major international construction company, advising on substantial projects.

He said: “Wollastons is widely acknowledged to be one of the leading regional firms and I am looking forward to helping to continue its remarkable progress. My extensive construction experience will build on Wollastons' already impressive construction practice.”

Terry Ford, who has spent many years in practice in property development and residential conveyancing at a large regional law firm, has joined the real estate team at Wollastons.

Department head Grace Kerr said: “We are extremely fortunate to have recruited someone of Terry's experience and calibre. He will be a great asset to our real estate practice and will bring in valuable expertise.”

Mr Ford said: “I knew Wollastons for their high reputation and had previously worked with two of the partners, Nick Burnett and Nigel Thompson. I am delighted to have joined what is regarded as the leading law firm in the region.”
