Ryanair has added flights between London Stansted Airport and Kiev and Lviv in Ukraine to its Winter schedule for 2018-19.

There will be five flights a week to and from Kiev and three week to and from Lviv, starting from the end of October.

Ryanair first announced flights from Stansted to the two cities a year ago as additions to its Winter 2017-18 schedule but the destinations where not included when it first unveiled its 2018-19 plans three weeks ago.

Its line-up for next winter includes the return of flights to Edinburgh, which was among the routes suspended last year when the airline’s current winter schedule was cut back due to pilot shortages.

There will also be a new winter route to Belfast, which Ryanair already serves from Stansted during the summer, and a brand new route to Nantes in France.

However, winter flights to Glasgow, which were also cancelled this winter, will not be reinstated following the airline’s announcement last month that it is to close its Glasgow base at the end of this summer’s schedule.
