Ice Watch, the Suffolk-based national gritting service, has received safety accreditation from SAFEcontractor, a programme which recognizes the highest standards of health and safety practices amongst UK contractors.
Ice Watch enables organisations and businesses to fulfill their safety obligations during the winter months by providing accurate local forecasting and a gritting service tailored to the needs of each customer.
Paul Bowling, managing director, said: “Our clients expect us to provide a highly professional service based on the most sophisticated forecasting available, best practice throughout our operations and full recording.
“As we are helping to prevent accidents it is obviously essential that our operators know how to assess and manage any risks associated with their work. The SAFEcontractor accreditation is a most welcome addition to our list of recognized standards including ISO 9001.”
