Live-in care company Christies Care has received a prestigious award that recognises its commitment to training and skills development.

The Saxmundham-based business has been named among 40 organisations awarded a Princess Royal Training Award - other recipients include RBS, Waitrose and Barclays.

The award is overseen by the City & Guilds Group and includes public and private sector businesses of all sizes, from areas including hospitality, healthcare, finance and manufacturing. Representatives from these organisations have been invited to meet Princess Anne to receive their awards at a ceremony due to take place at St James’s Palace this autumn.

Manager of Christies Care, Lin Barnes, said: “These awards have a rigorous assessment process and I am so very proud of our team for all their hard work in putting together our industry-leading training programme.”
