THE chairman of Felixstowe Chamber is stepping down at its annual general meeting in March after two years in the role.

Shaun Rudduck was instrumental in initiating and co-ordinating new projects for the town, such as the Visit Felixstowe website and the foreign markets, and has been the main representative on a number of committees.

Due to other commitments, he is unable dedicate as much time to the chamber and can no longer fulfil his role as chairman, but he will continue to be an active committee member.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my work and time as chairman,” he said. “It is both an interesting and satisfying job and although sometimes it has its frustrations, I am very pleased with the work we have done over the past two years. I am reluctant to stand down but do not feel that I will be able to provide the same level of commitment that is required to continue to keep the chamber pro-active and moving forward.”

The chamber is now seeking a new chairman, general assistant and additional executive committee members. For more information, contact Louise Berrill on 01394 279692 or info@felixstowechamber.co.cuk
