Small firms are being invited to meet with Suffolk Police and Crime Commissioner Tim Passmore to hear about the challenges ahead for policing and the potential for the force to source more of its supplies locally.

Mr Passmore will be guest speaker at a business breakfast being organised by Articulate HLC and the Federation of Small Businesses.

The event will be an opportunity for small firms to discuss whether they have noticed a difference in crime levels, with statistics for Suffolk as a whole showing overall crime at its lowest level for a decade followinig a fifth consecutive annual reduction.

Mr Passmore, who has committed to supporting the Suffolk business community, will talk about the challenges ahead for policing and also explaining how he plans to examine the sourcing of supplies, including the principle of using locally sourced products where possible.

The event takes place at the Leaping Hare restaurant at Stanton, near Bury St Edmunds, on Tuesday, April 21. Places cost £15 per person, with booking open until April 14. For further details, visit www.articulatehlc.co.uk .
